It’s so easy to forget that Henry is essentially Helen’s only remaining child.  She raised him alongside Ashley and they grew up like siblings, but between Henry referring to her as ‘Doc’ and Ashley’s death, it’s just so easy to separate them from the obviously nurturing relationship they’ve had for decades.  

But not in this moment.  These few seconds after Nikola rescues him you see it in Helen.  You see the love and the bond they have.  You see Helen as a mother once again.
